Even though “La Cascina del Monastero” was restored and transformed at the time of Giuseppe and Velda Grasso, it still retains the fascination that comes of being a place rich in history. Embraced by the vines that have made the Langa hills so incomparably beautiful and kissed by the warmth of the sun, the farmhouse has become the right place to rejuvenate your spirit.

It has ten bedrooms with all comforts provided, furnished in antique style, and each one different from the other. It also has two small flats and a large hall to accommodate the tasting of wines and local products and where meetings and parties can be organized. Two kitchens are at the guests’ disposal and soon a fitness room will be available. A sauna and swimming pool complete the facilities available to guests at “La Cascina del Monastero”

Velda provides the finishing touch of class to perfect the atmosphere. She seems to have absorbed the ancient art of hospitality from the Benedictine monks, the old inhabitants of this farm, as she guides her guests along a trail of flavours, tastes and smells, an integral part of the Langa tradition.

“La Cascina del Monastero” is located in the hamlet of “Annunziata di La Morra”, a few kilometres from Alba and the main centres of the Langhe, and an hour and a half from Milan, Genoa and Turin.
